In recent days, a citizen from the village of “Koseh Kahriz” in Mahabad, named Omid Rash, was sentenced to six months of discretionary imprisonment by Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of this county on charges of “propaganda against the system.”
This citizen, on the morning of Saturday, June 20, 2025 (31 Khordad 1404), was arrested without a judicial warrant by security forces along with three other citizens and transferred to the IRGC Intelligence detention center in Mahabad for interrogation.
Omid Rash had been released after 33 days of temporary detention upon depositing a bail of one billion five hundred million Tomans.
