Over the past few days, two citizens from Mahabad named “Ali Danesh” and “Samrand Vojoodi” were each sentenced to four months imprisonment by Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of this city on charges of “propaganda against the regime.”
These two citizens were violently arrested without a judicial warrant on Friday, May 9, 2025, after attending a wedding celebration wearing “Kurdish khaki clothes and a jamana (traditional headscarf).”
After interrogation, these two citizens were temporarily released from Mahabad prison on bail.
